I recently did my first educational "make & take" night at Strandz & Threadz, a local salon and boutique.  Part of the fun was the 2nd grader that joined in!  He was a blast - totally jumped right in and smelled everything, tried to guess all the ingredients, and went and told his mom about Thieves while she was getting her hair done in the next room. What's the big deal about Thieves, you might ask?  Aside from it's amazing immune support powers, it has a legend behind it.  The story goes, a group of 15th-century thieves rubbed botanicals on themselves to avoid contracting the plague while they robbed the bodies of the dead and dying. When apprehended, the thieves were forced to tell what their secret was and disclosed the formula of the herbs, spices, and oils they used to protect themselves in exchange for more lenient punishment.  Well, this little guy took the Thieves roller I made to give his mom, and told his mom the whole story.
